When will killing of rhinos and freeing of
convicts end? |
The killing of rhinos is Chitwan continues unabated. Since July 2006, 12 rhinos have been killed but there are no incdications that this poaching will end soon. What indeed is the reason behind the illegal killing of this endangered pachyderm? The government, on its part, is releasing those convicted and jailed for poaching rhinos. To investigate the reasons behind this, NEFEJ had taken a group of environmental journalists for a field tour from 7 to 10 December. We would like to invite you to share the conclusions reached by the group and discuss the present situation on this. Date: 10 January, 2007
