KATHMANDU: The MediaTraining Center (MTC) under Nepal Forum of Environmental Journalists (NEFEJ)conducted an 11-day long training for photographers through Aug 26-Sept 7 inits premises in Thapathali.
The training was supported by Rosa Luxembourg Foundationwith trainer being Dr Rudiger Claus who incidentally represent InternationalInstitute of Journalism- Berlin (IIJB).
Trainers comprised Bikas Rauniyar, Dhruba Ale and Jitendra Raj Bajracharya. The number of participants was 15, with all of them coming fromdifferent profession and keen to pick photography skills and photojournalism.

Similarly MTC also organized workshop in advanced levelworkshop for Nepalese photojournalists which lasted through Sept 10-17. Theevent was sponsored by Rosa Luxembourg Foundation as part of the continuingproject signed with MTC/ NEFEJ.
The number of participants in advance photo-journalismtraining was 14, with half of them from outside the capital and half workingwith major newspapers in the capital. Trainer comprised Chandrashekhar Karki, Dhruba Ale, Dipendra Bajracharya and Jitendra Raj Bajracharya.

The next training has been planned for same period nextyear, with initial plan to hold it outside the capital.
